NYX Round Lipsticks. These lipsticks by NYX are really inexpensive, and can be purchased at Ulta stores for around $4-5, or on websites like beautyjoint.com or cherryculture.com for even cheaper! There is a HUGE selection of colors. However, on websites the swatches are completely off and it’s nearly impossible to tell what the true color of the lipstick you’re ordering is. If you are ordering these online, I strongly recommend you google swatches of the colors or watch YouTube videos of NYX lipstick swatches. When it comes to the lipsticks quality, they are decent. I have about 16 of these and all of them are extremely pigmented, but on the downside many of them are overly frosty. Another thing I strongly dislike that steers me away from using these lipsticks is that they are way too creamy, and they sit on top of my lips and smear around and don’t last long at all. They don’t stay in place very well which is very annoying because I constantly have to worry about if my lipstick looks good or not. I’ve also found that all of the colors I have really accentuate the fine lines and cracks in my lips which makes them appear chapped even when they’re not. I honestly think they look a bit disgusting because they are so creamy and don’t set on top of your lips nicely.
Overall, I think you get what you pay for when it comes to the NYX Round Lipsticks. They are highly pigmented, come in any color you could imagine, but the formula is really the deal breaker for me. I rate these a 2.5/5.

LUSH Cupcake Face Mask. This face mask by LUSH is honestly my #1 Holy Grail skin care product. It is amazing for oily skin that tends to break out very easily. It really helps tremendously with controlling my oily skin as well as making clearing up break outs so quickly (when used every day to every other day). It makes your skin feel refreshed and so deep cleaned, like brand new skin on your face after you use it. It’s a must have product for me, I couldn’t live without it. If you have oily skin this is something you really need to try out! I’ve tried all of LUSH’s face masks and this one works the best for my skin type. I rate it a 5 out of 5 for sure!
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask. I’ve been trying out this product for quite a few months now, and initially I didn’t like it at all. I felt like it was no better than the regular drugstore conditioners I’ve tried that did nothing much for my hair. But I recently got my hair cut, so I got rid of all the dead ends that were so far beyond repair, and I started using this more often and I really do enjoy it. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it and it’s a good product, BUT it isn’t anything amazing or outstanding to me personally. I believe it’s over hyped and not worth $30. (P.S I got mine on salonsavings.com for $18!) I know many, many people swear by this deep conditioning repair mask, but it just doesn’t do anything extraordinary for my hair. It works nicely, but I wouldn’t repurchase it again. This is just my personal opinion though, it may work better for some people but it just didn’t impress me. I would rate this product 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Real Techniques Brushes By Samantha Chapman. These brushes are inexpensive and sold at Ulta stores. These truly are my favorite brand of makeup brushes I have come across, but probably tied with my Sonia Kashuk brushes. Individual brushes retail for anywhere from $8-10. Brush sets that include 4 to 5 brushes retail for $17.99. The quality of these brushes is outstanding, especially considering the price. I have the Stippling brush, which is the best foundation brush I have ever used. Large face powder brush, Blush brush which I also love, and the Core Collection set (face brushes) and the Starter Kit (eye brushes). I absolutely love each and every brush by them. Each brush really does work amazingly. I would highly recommend these brushes to anyone who needs some great quality makeup brushes in their collection. I definitely give this line of brushes a 5 out of 5.
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. I gave into the hype and decided to try this product out. I do like the original Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation, although there are things I don’t like about it; such as it’s heavy feeling and tendency to look cakey. However, I feel like this new foundation is a major improvement to the original Colorstay. This is a whipped foundation, not a mousse. It has a very thick, creamy consistency which I really enjoy. The one thing I love the most about this foundation is that it is so thick (not in a bad way) and so pigmented that you only need a VERY small amount of it to cover your face and make it look flawless. The best thing about that is since you only need a tiny amount of product, it does not cake up or even look like you’re wearing a full coverage foundation. It truly does feel like you’re not wearing any makeup at all, and it just looks great. However, the only downside I’ve found to this foundation is the application. I’ve tried multiple ways of applying it, and only one brush applies the product nicely. Using my other foundation brushes and my fingers tended to apply it too heavily and not really blend it out evenly or flawlessly. But, my Real Techniques Stippling Brush applies this product like a dream. Overall, I think this is an absolutely incredible foundation and I am beyond impressed. At first I didn’t like it, due to the fact that it doesn’t apply nicely with my fingers or certain brushes, but once I found a brush that was right for this product I fell in love. I give this product a 5 out of 5!
Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream. This has been my absolute favorite moisturizer for a long time. This is a gel moisturizer, and gel moisturizers are better for those with oily skin. I love this moisturizer so much, it gives the perfect amount of moisture to my skin and it smells so fresh and it feels very cooling and refreshing on my skin. Another one of my favorite Moisturizers is the Philosophy Hope Oil-Free, which is very different in texture, it’s a thick creamy lotion. Even though these are both quite different, the Garnier moisturizer gets the job done just as well. I would highly recommend this moisturizer to anyone out there with oily skin. It is only about $7-8 at drugstores :)
Urban Decay De-Slick in a Tube. Let me start out by saying, this stuff is flat out INCREDIBLE for people with oily skin. This gel primer is just amazing at sucking all the oils out of your skin and preventing your skin from getting oily throughout the entire day. However, I would only recommend this for those with very oily skin because when you first apply this product, it literally sucks the oils out of your face and almost gives your skin that dry, tight feeling like you get after you use a face mask or face scrub. It feels weird at first but it makes my foundation glide on so smoothly and blend in flawlessly. Not to mention it literally keeps my face SHINE FREE all day long and it allows me to not have to touch up my makeup multiple times a day. Overall, this product definitely earns a 5 out of 5 stars. It’s a MUST HAVE product for those with oily skin.
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Primer. I tried out this primer after hearing nothing but great things about it. Sometimes the pores on my cheeks do appear large, and this primer doesn’t really make them invisible, although it does make them appear a bit smaller. I have oily skin and I would not recommend this primer for oily skin. It doesn’t really control the oils at all and it really didn’t keep my makeup looking flawless all day but it was alright. Overall, this primer just didn’t do my skin any justice and it didn’t work well with my oily skin. It would probably would fantastic for those with dry skin though, because some products work differently for different people. Overall I would say this primer is just average and not worth the price (for me at least), I give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. This is by far the best drugstore face powder I’ve ever found. It’s very light so it can’t be used as a powder foundation but it is an amazing setting powder for liquid foundation or concealer. I like to lightly dust this all over my face with my Elf Studio Line Powder Brush and it gives a flawless finish over my foundation and doesn’t look cakey at all. It’s an amazing powder for oily skin, it keeps my face matte all day long and when I re-apply it, it doesn’t cake up at all. It’s also great for dry skin, my best friend who has dry skin also loves this powder. You can’t go wrong with it considering it’s only around $5. I definitely give this product a 5 out of 5, it has replaced my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural which I loved and swore by!
