I was never ever planning on trying any of the americanized BB creams, because I heard they don’t even compare to the Korean ones, but today I went to a Sephora inside a JC Penny to get the Clinique Stay Matte foundation, but they didn’t sell Clinique so I told the employee I wanted to try out the Urban Decay Naked Skin & I also mentioned that I have super oily skin and I’ve been having issues w/ my foundation not holding up throughout the school day. She told me THIS stuff is what I need. She said it is a 10 in one product and that it would completely prevent oil from surfacing on my face during the day. So I got a sample of it and I’m really, really excited to try it! Oh and also this lady was seriously the NICEST and most helpful Sephora employee I’ve ever encountered, almost every employee except for one at the Sephora I shop at is SO rude! She was so friendly and gave me so many great skin care and makeup tips, and also a sample of this Philosophy Microdelivery Purifying Peel for my breakouts. Super excited to try these two things out, I had to make a little post before I even tried them haha. Once I try them I will definitely do a review on youtube & this blog! xoxo
This is going to be the next foundation I try out! I haven’t heard anyone else rave about it besides Smlx0 on YouTube. I read the description on the Sephora website and it sounds like exactly what I need.
Since I started school, I’ve been having major issues with my foundation. It just doesn’t last at all and my makeup looks like it’s been through hell and back by the time 5th hour comes around. The ONLY foundation I’ve ever found that looks flawless throughout the entire school day (without needing to be touched up, either!) is the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation which is the best foundation I’ve ever tried. But that one is $43 and the Clinique one is $23 so I really want to try that out for half the price.
Has anyone else tried the Clinique Stay Matte foundation? If so let me know what you thought of it! And also if any of you have oily skin & found a foundation that holds up ALL DAY I’d love to know!
I block people who reblog a ton of pictures off my blog and promote themselves on them. Other people’s pictures aren’t a personal billboard. That shit really annoys me, there’s other ways to gain followers without being desperate.
Sorry just had to rant. That’s like my #1 pet peeve on tumblr.
Here are a few mascaras that were by far the best I’ve ever used. I would highly recommend all of these if you’re looking for something new!
Covergirl Lash Blast Waterproof - Covergirl Lashblast is fantastic, I’ve been using it since middle school. This mascara has a jumbo sized rubber bristled brush. However, over the past few years I have found some mascaras that make it look like crap. I do recommend the waterproof version though, because I find that the regular & fusion tend to flake off and kind of disappear throughout the day!
Benefit Bad Gal Lash - This mascara is wonderful, however the Revlon Grow Luscious was pretty much an exact dupe (I’ve owned both). They essentially have the exact same brush - a large, fat natural bristled brush. Both of these mascaras make my lashes look amazing, although the Benefit Bad Gal lash dried out very, very quickly and it is $20, while the Revlon one retails for around $8.
Maybelline Illegal Lengths - This is by far the most incredible lengthening mascara I’ve ever used. I have very, very short lashes and this mascara did wonders for them! It has a fiber extension formula, and claims to add up to 4mm of length to your lashes…which it definitely does! This mascara makes my lashes extremely long, but does not add any volume what so ever. I love to pair this mascara with the Maybelline Turbo Volume for amazing length + volume!
Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes - This is definitely one of my number one favorite mascaras. It has a fat rubber bristled brush with very short bristles, but it makes my eyelashes look incredible. It gives me the results I would get when I layer 2 or 3 different mascaras together! Another amazing thing about this mascara is you can layer it more, and more and more and it never clumps! I absolutely love this and would highly recommend this one the most out of all of these!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin - $18
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Mushroom - $18
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation - $42
MAC Blush in Peony Petal - $20
and there’d only be less than $2 left lol.
But yeah, if I were given $100 for free, specifically for makeup, I would buy these things because I’ve been dying to buy them forever! But as much as I love it, I really don’t like to buy ALL high end makeup since it adds up so quickly.
